It's a garden thing,

The weather is still cool, I like it, but I don't think it is good for my plants.  I have lost a few more yuccas do to the prolong cold and wet weather.  The Weather man said we have been below our normal temps 77% of the days sense March first.

This is a wildlife garden, and so most animals are welcome here.  I will remove rattlesnakes when I find them, but they are rarely seen. In fact I have seen more in town than I have ever seen out here.  I think in the 17 years I have been out here I have only seen 2.  On the other hand all other snakes are always welcome, I prefer them over mice any day of the week.

It was a good week I found three different gopher snakes in the yard.
You can see that they are not the same snake by the different markings on their heads/necks
Gopher snake #1.

Gopher snake #2

Gopher snake #3

This was my favorite Yucca rostrata!

Still working on those dam weeds, I would love to spray but the wind will not give me a chance.
