A week or so before Christmas.
Yucca elata
Yucca baccata
Unknown cholla
Yucca elata
Yucca brevifolia
Mountain mahogany
Dark and gloomy
Russian sage
Yucca rostrata
Didn't take long for her to figure out Christmas presents.
How's your Y. Brevifolia holding up? -7 F didn't seem to faze ours in Boise.
ReplyDeleteAll mine are doing good! not hurt as far as I can tell! It got down to -17F according to the local news, but I seen just -14f in my yard.
DeleteImpressive. You'll have to tell me how they look in May, but I think we can safely say they're hardier than a wimpy Zone 7.
DeleteGorgeous photos of your plants.
ReplyDeleteThe frost photos are fabulous, and so's your recent hardscape work. Very nice.
But the real prize is your beautiful baby girl, what a sweetie.
Thanks, I love working outside and one day all my playing around will look like something. lol
DeleteI'm having so much fun hanging out with that little sweetie, they are the real prize. Plus I may need her as cheap labor later on. j/k
The Cylindropuntia looks like the tunicata posted on the FB Opuntiads group by Mario Meier. Looks really cool covered in frost!
ReplyDeleteThanks, after the FB post I agree that it must be tunicata.
