The rest of the story.
Well I found the missing vacation pics! They were taken with a different camera I forgot about. Even though they are not very good, I will still share. Most of them were taken while I was driving, mostly just pointing the camera at the window and clicking.

Where were those photos taken? Very nice in how barren and open it all is...
